Most food, booze, and wine events in Los Angeles feature highly regarded restaurants offering generous samples from their menus. The Los Angeles Epicurean Festival
changes things up by bringing together some of the gourmet vendors that supply many of those top restaurants, as well as retail shops and discerning consumers. They also feature a wide variety of premium wineries and spirits. The event was held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 in the majestic Vibiana Cathedral
in downtown LA and attendees browsed through booths featuring gourmet foods, boutique wines and high end liquors over the course of two sessions.

Los Angeles party people celebrated Mardi Gras on Saturday February 18, 2012 at Glow, the nightclub in the Marina Del Rey Marriott. The club and hotel put together a classic New Orleans styled party with music, booze, food and a crowd of attractive attendees. Special menu items and cocktails were created for the evening. Glow was transformed with special lights, decorations and beads.

It was a sunny day in the Malibu Hills where about 2500 guests enjoyed Los Angeles Magazine’s annual Food Event at Saddlerock Ranch. The October 23rd, 2011 event featured amazing food, great wine, and fine spirits that kept the crowds happy. The picturesque setting added a magical aura to the culinary extravaganza and made it an extremely enjoyable Sunday afternoon.

On a balmy summer evening in July, Paramount Studio’s “New York” back lot in Hollywood was the scene of the Concern Foundation’s Dancing in the Streets block party. The event was an over the top extravaganza with some of the best restaurants in the LA area serving samples, multiple stages of live entertainment, a casino area, and free flowing adult beverages. Nearly four thousand food, wine, and spirits enthusiasts enjoyed an evening of indulgence with an altruistic purpose. Over $1.5 mm dollars was raised for cancer research from ticket sales, silent, and live auctions.
In a creative flourish, the circular driveway of a Santa Monica hotel was transformed into a tropical island inspired site for a cook-off between local celebrity chefs on June 29, 2011. The theme was Hawaiian style pupu, and the island appetizers were interpreted by chefs Mark Gold and Neal Fraser.
A new winery, The Naked Grape in Modesto CA, recently hosted a special dinner that paired their wines with the fresh, sustainable foods of Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Seasonal Kitchen in Santa Monica. The winemaker, Hillary J. Stevens, is a big supporter of locally grown, organic produce. Rustic Canyon's Executive Chef, Evan Funke, sources all of his food from farmers and ranchers that practice sustainable agriculture. It was a perfect marraige of flavors and philosophies.
