Fashion: Jenny B Tees – Sleek and Chic

By Pauline Adamek

One of the hottest must-have items this summer for young Hollywood starlets, and all those hopefuls out there, too, are Jenny B’s super-cool tee shirts. Just check out Stephanie Pratt (from TV’s “The Hills”), AnnaLynne McCord (from “Nip/Tuck” and “90210”) and sexy songbird D. Woods from the pop group Danity Kane. They’re all smitten with these message tees.

Other starlets who favor the trendy line include Ashley Tisdale and singers Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Christina Milian, and rocker Pink. Audrina Patridge loves Jenny B’s two biggest sellers – “Bad Men Happen to Good Women” and “Naughty is the New Nice” tees.

Los Angeles fashion designer Jennifer Brawley kicked off her career by creating message tees with fun and witty phrases such as “Excuse me I have a bridge to burn,” “Done with people pleasing,” and – my favorite – “If you can’t say something nice I’m listening.” The Jenny B Clothing line represents a combination of Jennifer’s laid back California lifestyle mixed with her sense of fashion and expression. Ever the intrepid designer, Jennifer explains that her line of clothing is for the “free, fun, expressive, and casual” female.

Jennifer has further developed her brand, now branching out with a new design of chic burnout t-shirts. The former advertising executive says she wanted to move away from the corporate world and into fashion design. Jennifer’s main desire was to design tee shirts with a soft, feminine, and flattering cut that would appeal to women of all ages; and she succeeded admirably.

These burnout tees are extra cute and so much more than just your average basic tee shirt. Available in a leopard or a heartburn burnout design, the chemical burnout process used allows the print to stand out once worn. Recently singer and actress Taryn Manning was spotted rocking her white “heartburn” tee on a sunny day along with some cute accessories. The young star is set to shoot a new movie with Brittany Snow called “Walks.” Taryn says she loved Jenny B tees because they are so inexpensive and easy to purchase online.

The look is young and fresh and can be dressed up with a pair of sexy heels, or dressed down with a pair of flip flops for a day on the beach. They also come in fun, bright colors such as hot pink and vibrant yellow. If you want to go for a more basic look, you can wear the shirts in white or black as well. Affordably priced at $30 for the tanks, $40 for long sleeved, these tee shirts are an essential item for every girl about town.

Jenny B Clothing is found in 75 stores worldwide, including Armani Exchange, Antique Orange NY, Clothes for the Soul, Kaje in Beverly Hills, Chick Chat FL, and Meringe NY, as well as online.
