Martell Cognac, a highly recognized premium brand, introduced their newest product, Martell Blue Swift, at the first of several “H.O.M.E. by Martell” events at a spectacular contemporary estate in the Hollywood Hills on September 28, 2017. The posh party featured amazing views of Los Angeles, different experiences in each room of the modern space and a diverse list of celebrity guests.

Grammy-nominated singer Jhené Aiko helped curate the theme in each room of the house, with a culinary experience provided by Ghetto Gastro, who flew in from New York to handle the catering. Jhené created a signature cocktail using Martell Blue Swift and additional original cocktails using the new spirit were poured at bars throughout the house.

Martell Blue Swift is a VSOP cognac matured in French oak casks and finished in bourbon casks from Kentucky. The cognac has delicate fruit notes with the subtle sweetness of vanilla and toasted oak from the bourbon casks. It is quite smooth when enjoyed neat and blends well with citrus juices, herbs and spices.

The H.O.M.E. party was designed to showcase new ideas on the art of hosting. Jhené Aiko said, “Home entertaining is something I’ve always been passionate about. I was excited to curate the first-ever HO.M.E. by Martell experience and bring my vision of hosting and Martell’s spirit of curiosity to life.”

Jhené was a great host. She led guests through the luxurious residence, sharing the creative details she had devised. There was a room dedicated to creating your own version of a mint julep made with Martell Blue Swift. Other rooms had comfortable lounge areas, while the extensive outdoor deck areas had fire pits, seating and panoramic views. Music filled the rooms as DJ Millie and DJ Omega spun up-tempo tunes for hours.

Some of the celebrity guests included rappers Quavo, Wale, ASAP Ferg and Big Sean, singer Lana Del Rey, actor Jamie Foxx, singer-songwriter and chef Kelis and many others. A large, attractive crowd of L.A. influencers made up the rest of the party crowd. Quavo and Wale will be hosting H.O.M.E. by Martell events in the near future.

Upcoming H.O.M.E. by Martell events will be in Atlanta and Chicago in October; then in Detroit, Washington, D.C. and Houston in November. All events are private, invitation only. Additional events are scheduled in Lagos, Nigeria, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in November.
