Love seafood? Then the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium’s 3rd Annual Sustainable Seafood Expo is the place to be on Sunday October 2, 2016. Held at CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, the event is designed to help consumers choose the right fish for their meals – the ones that are both good for their bodies and environmentally responsible, too.
Actor Adrian Grenier of “Entourage” fame will make a special appearance at the celebration of all things aquatic and edible. As co-founder of the Lonely Whale Foundation, Grenier will continue his mission to inspire empathy towards marine species and to encourage everyone to advocate for ocean health.
Many top restaurants will be serving delicious seafood samples, including Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra of Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes. Ibarra returns again this year to impress the crowd with his culinary skills, while other favorites attending include Gladstone’s Long Beach, Ports o’ Call Waterfront Dining, Superior Seafood and others.
Executive Chef Dustin Trani of J. Trani’s Ristorante in San Pedro will serve gourmet, sustainable fare during an exclusive chef’s table dinner immediately following the expo.
The expo, hosted by Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and its Friends organization, is Southern California’s only major sustainable seafood event. The event space will be air conditioned.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door, with discounts available for members of Friends. The exclusive chef’s table dinner is $150 and includes entry to the Expo. A special discounted advanced-sale promotion is available by using the code: JETSETJEN
