Salon: Gavert Atelier Salon’s “On the Go” Party

Stars and assorted fashionistas converged on the Gavert Atelier Salon in Beverly Hills to attend the “On the Go” beauty event, being co-hosted by Gavert Atelier Salon and Mistura Beauty.

Everybody knows how difficult it is these days to find the time to manage your wardrobe, maintain your beauty regimen, and keep your hair looking perfectly coiffed, all while juggling a hectic work, family, and social schedule. Gavert Atelier Salon and Mistura Beauty set up this exclusive event on the Saturday before Mother’s Day with beauty professionals to share quick and easy style tips for all of us busy women.

There certainly was plenty to see and do. First stop was the Mistura Beauty cosmetics bar where we got a glimpse of their newest products, including the “6-in-1” beauty solution, a marvelous powder that provides a natural luminosity and pearl-like finish to all skin types and colors.

Em & Co Boutique lent their talented wardrobe stylists to advise on Summer and Fall colors and provide quick tips on accessorizing color and clothes to match your own personal style and taste. Professional stylist Kallah Maguire gave me some essential advice on managing colors with my skin tone.

Senna Cosmetics had an indulgent “Eyebrow Bar” where my unruly brows were wrangled into shape by expert brow artist Cindy Melendrez, who is based in the Beverly Hills salon of Senna Studios. Senna’s “brow fix” product – a styling gel to tame those flyaway eyebrows – will keep me looking well-groomed.

Next my hair was expertly styled by CJ Cassaday, one of the salon stylists of Gavert Atelier. He taught me a few techniques for taming the frizz as he wielded with flair the Conair “Babyliss Pro” flatiron hair tool.

I spotted a tan Frankie Muniz, sporting a rakish goatee, who dropped by with girlfriend Elycia Marie. He seemed besotted by the lovely Elycia, gazing upon her while she had her tresses curled and her fingernails painted, courtesy of OPI professional nail products. Taking a break from showbiz, Muniz is happily living in Arizona and spends most of his time racing cars.

One great Opi product is “Nic’s Sticks” – a sharpie-shaped topcoat tube with an built-in brush for quick fixes on the run.

Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen Biggs were inseparable all night. Biggs joked that lovely Jenny’s engagement ring was fake and they even made out in a salon chair.

CariDee English, the December 2006 winner of “America’s Next Top Model,” had two stylists fussing over her blonde, beach-girl hair.

Kathy Hilton turned up with husband Rick by her side, excited to get some pampering done before Mother’s Day. Kathy confessed she was sad she wouldn’t be spending the holiday with her daughters (Paris in the Bahamas, and Nicky out of town for work).

Celebrity DJ Casey Connor, who has spun discs for the likes of Madonna and Kanye West, kept the pumping music drifting throughout the bustling salon.

It didn’t matter that they kept running out of champagne; they always managed to find some more, ensuring a marvelous evening was had by all.
